Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City – In line with the Philippine National Police’s intensified internal cleansing campaign, joint operatives of the PNP successfully arrested an active PNP member during the intelligence-driven implementation of two Search Warrants for violations of Republic Act No. 9165 and Republic Act No. 10591 on March 20, 2026, at Sitio Tagongtong, Brgy. Agdangan, Baao, Camarines Sur.

The operation, conducted at about 7:00 PM, was spearheaded by PNP Special Operations Unit 5 of the PNP Drug Enforcement Group (Lead) and Team 5 of the Luzon Field Unit, Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (LFU-IMEG) (Co-Lead), in close coordination with other PNP units. The search warrants were issued by Hon. Martessa E. Nuylan-Rodrigueza, Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 57, 5th Judicial Region, Iriga City, Camarines Sur, dated March 11, 2026.

Arrested during the said operation was an active Patrolman who is also known as “Lito/Palito”, 44 years old, single, and presently assigned at the Personnel Holding and Accounting Section (PHAS), PNP Highway Patrol Group, who is also a resident of the said area.

The operation stemmed from reports received by IMEG Team 5 regarding the suspect’s alleged involvement in illegal drug activities, particularly in the areas of Baao and Iriga City. Acting on said information, IMEG Operatives conducted a case build-up, which led to the procurement and subsequent implementation of the search warrants.

Confiscated during the operation were approximately 18.3 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated standard drug price of PhP124,440.00, 10 pcs. of unknown caliber of ammunition, drug paraphernalia, and one Sport Utility Vehicle.

The arrested PNP member is now under the custody of Baao Municipal Police Station, Camarines Sur PPO, PRO 5, while appropriate charges for violations of RA 9165 and RA 10591 are being prepared by the concerned operating units for filing in court.

He underscored that no erring personnel will be spared from accountability and stressed that the accomplishment was made possible through the strong collaboration and unified efforts of various PNP units.
