The Philippine National Police Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (PNP-IMEG) Director, PBGEN SAMUEL C NACION announced the arrests of 4 police scalawags through Warrant of Arrest (1) one active Police member for violation of Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children’s Act of 2004 (RA 9262) Violation of Sec 5 (E) followed by the arrest of (1) one former member of the PNP who was Absent Without Official Leave for the crime of Malversation of Public Fund and (2) two for the crime of Murder a retired member of PNP and a former member of Special Action Force.
In a report submitted to PLTGEN VICENTE D DANAO JR, PNP Officer-in-Charge, the joint elements of Team 4A, IMEG (Lead Unit), Regional Intelligence Division- Police Regional 4A, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-PFU and Regional Intelligence Unit 4A executed the Warrant of Arrest of the active member of the Police Regional Office Calabarzon identified as PSSg Kris Christopher Daya Lacap on June 4, 2022 at about 10:00 AM inside Camp Vicente Lim, Brgy. Mapayapa, Calamba City by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon. Edil Waif Tapsiril Baddiri, Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court NCJR Branch 11, Pasay City, under Criminal Case Number R-PSY-16-11893-CR dated May 25, 2022 for the crime of Homicide.
“As I have always emphasized, there is no room for misconduct and breach of discipline in the PNP, thus we will ensure that cops with criminal cases are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law because criminals have no place in the police service,” PLTGEN VICENTE D DANAO JR announced in a press statement.
On June 1, 2022 at about 7:12 PM, ex-Police member identified as Pat Jason Maitim y Santos was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for Malversation of Public Fund/Property, Presumption of Malversation Article. 217 of RPC at Block 7 Lot 59, Brgy Critorey, Capas, Tarlac. The joint elements of Team 3, Luzon Field Unit led by PMAJ DANILO M PEREZ under the direct supervision of Chief Luzon Field Unit headed by PCOL JEFF E FANGED. The warrant was issued by Hon. Francis William Matapale Espinosa, Presiding Judge, RTC Branch 112, Camiling, Tarlac dated May 26, 2022 with recommended bail amounting to Php 36, 000.00 for his provisional liberty. Arrested person was apprised of his constitutional rights but opted to remain silent and likewise brought to IMEG Luzon Field Unit Office for documentation prior return of the Warrant of Arrest from the court of origin.
PBGEN SAMUEL C NACION, Director, IMEG also announced the arrest of 1 retired member of the Philippine National Police, identified as PEMS Jolito Palansiqui Mamanao Jr, formerly assigned at Highway Patrol Group by virtue of warrant of arrest for crime of Murder under CC No. 119571 issued by Hon. Maria Rowena V Alejandria, Presiding Judge of RTC NCJR Branch 121, Caloocan City at Blk 10 Lot 16 Tower Ville Brgy. Gaya Gaya, San Jose Delmonte, Bulacan on June 2, 2022 at about 5:59 PM. Executed by the joint elements of Counter Intelligence Division led by PMAJ CHRISTIAN C BURGOS under the direct supervision of Chief Counter Intelligence Division headed by PLTCOL LEO M CANUEL with Intelligence Section together with the Regional Intelligence Unit National Capital Region, Intelligence Group and Intelligence Research and Analysis Division, Anti Kidnapping Group.
“I commend our operatives in PNP-IMEG for another successful extensive manhunt operation to uphold the rule of law and bring wanted person to the folds of justice and have them accountable for the crimes they committed.” PBGEN NACION added.
The joint elements of Counter Intelligence Division led by PMAJ CHRISTIAN C BURGOS under the direct supervision of Chief Counter Intelligence Division headed by PLTCOL LEO M CANUEL with Intelligence Section District Mobile Force Battalion-Eastern Police District, National Capital Region-Highway Patrol Group led by PMAJ Ronald M De Leon, Intelligence Research and Analysis Division – Anti Kidnapping Group led by PMAJ DOMINADOR INALDO JR and Regional Intelligence Unit, National Capital Region-Intelligence Group executed also a Warrant of Arrest on June 1, 2022 at about 5:57 PM against former Special Action Force member identified as Pat Raymon Job Rubio at RRG Barbershop located at Malagasang II-C Arabu, 18 Nolasco Residence, Imus, Cavite by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Murder under CC No. 134126-27-H issued by Hon. Briccio C Ygana, Presiding Judge of Branch 153 Regional Trial Court NCR-JR, Taguig City.
PBGEN SAMUEL C NACION, announces the arrest of ex-PNP member identified as PCpl Ariel Bajado Gapate, former assigned at Station 5, Fairview, Quezon City by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of Homicide and Attempted Homicide under Art. 249 of RPC and Crim Case No. 117868 at Lot 9 Blk 18 Chanel St. Kathleen Place 4, Barangay San Bartolome, Novaliches, Quezon City on June 9, 2022 at about at about 6:50 PM. The joint elements of Counter Intelligence Division under the direct supervision of Chief Counter Intelligence Division headed by PLTCOL LEO M CANUEL, Intelligence Research and Analysis Division-Anti Kidnapping, Station 4, Quezon City Police District and MDHPT-Regional Highway Patrol Unit-Highway Patrol Group executed a Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon. Rodolfo P. Azucena, Presiding Judge of Branch 125 RTC NCR-JR, Caloocan City.
Said wanted person was immediately informed of their constitutional rights and the nature of his arrest and subsequently brought to IMEG Luzon Field Unit and IMEG Headquarters for documentation prior return of the Warrant of Arrest to the court of origin.
