PNP Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group Officer in Charge, PBGEN SAMUEL C NACION, today announces the arrest of an active PNP member through buy-bust Operation identified as PCMS Romeo Talay Penolio Jr, assigned at Camarines Sur Police Provincial Office for unlawful sale of illegal drugs with an estimated standard drug price of Php68,000.00.
PCMS Penolio Jr, an Active PNP member, was the subject of the joint buy bust operation from Team 5, Luzon Field Unit PNP-IMEG, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Camarines Sur, Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) Cam Sur, Police Provincial Office and Ocampo Municipal Police Station for unlawful sale of illegal drugs on August 8, 2022 at about 7:30 AM at Brgy. Hibago, Ocampo, Camarines Sur.
“The operation was based on the IMEG COPLAN “PANOLIO,” which was developed after receiving information that the subject was engaged in illegal drug trade, as revealed by a drug personality arrested in a recent drug operation in Ocampo, Camarines Sur. It was discovered that he was extorting money from drug personalities in exchange for protection from arrest at the Municipality of Ocampo. Furthermore, it was revealed that, in addition to mulcting illegal drugs to drug personalities for his own consumption, he was recycling this for other drug-addicted personalities. In addition to his involvement in illicit drug operations in the municipalities of Sagnay and Ocampo, he was also involved in unlawful gambling.” PBGEN NACION said.
Confiscated from him were two sachets containing suspected shabu weighing MOL 10 grams with an estimated standard drug price of Php68,000.00, buy-bust money, one PNP-issued Glock 17 9mm pistol (SN: PNP01979) with three magazines and 28 live ammo, two cellphones, one brown sling bag, one folding knife and one black/yellow Yamaha Sniper 155 motorcycle (PN: 661ENU). The arrested suspect is now under the custody of PDEA Camarines Sur for proper disposition.

Despite the stern warning from our Chief PNP, members of the organization who chose to break the law will suffer the full extent of the repercussions, which will undoubtedly result in their dismissal from the service.” PBGEN NACION added.”
