Agents of the Philippine National Police-Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (PNP-IMEG), together with personnel of Gapan City Police Station 5 (Lead Unit) successfully facilitated the voluntary surrender of a dismissed cop with Warrants of Arrest.
In a report submitted to the Chief, PNP, PGEN BENJAMIN C ACORDA, JR, it was stated that about 3:00 PM of May 24, 2023, joint elements of Warrant Section of Gapan City Police Station (Lead Unit), together with Team 3, IMEG-Luzon Field Unit, facilitated the voluntary surrender of PSSg Percival Mendoza Ladores, a former member of Philippine National Police and a resident of Barangay Hermogenes C. Concepcion, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija by virtue of Warrants of Arrest. These Warrants of Arrest covered the following cases:
a. Planting of Evidence under Section 29, Article II of RA 9165 otherwise known as Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 under Criminal Case No. 27557-23 issued by Hon. Elenita N Evangelista-Casipit, Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, Third Judicial Region, Branch 36, Gapan City, Nueva Ecija dated May 18, 2023, with no bail recommended;
b. Robbery with Violence Against or Intimidation of Persons under the Revised Penal Code (RPC) Art. 294 under Criminal Case No. 27558-23 issued by Hon. Elenita N Evangelista-Casipit, with bail recommended amounting to PhP100,000.00;
c. Violation of Article 183 of the RPC, as amended (Perjury), under Criminal Case No. 40-2023 issued by Hon. Norma Reyes Gonzales-Ramos, Presiding Judge, Municipal Trial Court in Cities, Third Judicial Region, Gapan City, Nueva Ecija dated May 17, 2023, with bail recommended amounting to PhP18,000.00; and
d. Arbitrary Detention under Art. 124 of the RPC with Criminal Case No. 41-2023, issued by the same Hon. Ramos dated May 17, 2023, with bail recommended amounting to PhP18,000.00.
PSSg Ladores is now temporarily detained at Gapan CPS Male Custodial Facility for documentation and disposition prior to turnover to the concerned courts.
“We will continue to work closely with other units and agencies to ensure that those who engage in such heinous crimes, whether they are active or retired in the service, are held accountable,” CPNP, PGEN ACORDA, JR said in his statement.
“Ipagpapatuloy natin ang ating pagsisikap na mapanatili ang tiwala ng ating pamayanan sa kapulisan. Kaya naman kahit retiradong pulis ay mananagot sa kanilang mga maling gawain, dahil minsan din silang naglingkod sa hanay ng pambansang pulisya.” PBGEN DE LEON also stated.
