In line with the 5-Focus Agenda of the CPNP, and as part of the implementation of aggressive and honest law enforcement is the relentless campaign against wanted persons, the Philippine National Police-Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group served Warrants of Arrest to the two former PNP members.
In a report submitted to the CPNP, on June 30, 2023 at about 4:15 PM, Team Manila-National Capital Region Field Unit-IMEG, together with Regional Special Operations Group, Regional Intelligence Division, National Capital Region Police Office, and Sub-Station 5, Pasay City Police Station served the Warrant of Arrest against SPO1 Milton l Evangelista, 67 years old, retired PNP member for the crime of Estafa.
The operation emanated from the Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon. Kirk M. Aniñon, Judge, Metropolitan Trial Court, National Capital Judicial Region, Branch 44, Pasay City dated September 24, 2018.
The arrested person is now temporarily detained at IMEG Custodial Facility, Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City, for documentation prior to turnover to the issuing court.
On July 1, 2023 at about 9:45 AM, Team 5-Luzon Field Unit-IMEG, joined with the elements of Police Station 2, Naga City Police Office (Lead Unit), Naga City Mobile Force Company, and Provincial Intelligence Unit, Camarines Sur, Provincial Police Office, in the service of Warrant of Arrest against PO3 Owen P Palo, 37 years old, former PNP member, and assigned at PNP-Special Action Force for violation of RA 9262.
The operation emanated from the Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon. Agaton S. Fajardo, Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, Branch 28, Fifth Judicial Region, Naga City dated May 26, 2023.
The arrested person is now temporarily detained at Police Station 2, Naga City Police Office, for documentation prior to turnover to the issuing court.
“The PNP will strictly enforce the existing PNP disciplinary mechanism to weed out corrupt and undesirable personnel in the organization whether they are active or retired in the service,” CPNP, PGEN ACORDA, JR said in his statement.
