According to the report of PBGEN WARREN F DE LEON, Director, MEG, seven PNP personnel with standing Warrant of Arrest surrendered themselves at this Group for violation of two counts of Murder.

At about 11:13 AM of February 8, 2024, PSSg Quill Carame Bay-an (AWOL) presented himself before the joint operatives of Team COR (Lead Unit) and Team 3, Luzon Field Unit together with Regional Intelligence Division, PRO COR, and La Trinidad Municipal Police Station, Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO), PRO COR at Sitio Boted, Barangay Tawang, La Trinidad, Benguet.

At about 4:45 AM of February 11, 2024, the joint operatives of Team 3, Luzon Field Unit-IMEG (Lead Unit) and Mabalacat City Police Station at Brgy. Dau, Mabalacat City, Pampanga facilitated the surrender of PCMS Joseph S Chumawar Jr. (Active PNP member).

At about 5:40 AM of February 11, 2024, PCMS Israel Culangan Lucob (Active PNP member) also submitted himself to surrender to the joint operatives of Team 3, Luzon Field Unit-IMEG (Lead Unit) and Police Station 4, Angeles City Police Office at Bayanihan Terminal, Brgy. Balibago, Angeles City, Pampanga.

An active Police Commissioned Officer identified as PCPT JUSTIN DUMAGUING ANOGUE also submitted himself to surrender at about 11:14 AM of February 11, 2024 to the joint operatives of Team 3, Luzon Field Unit-IMEG (Lead Unit) and IMEG-Counter Intelligence Division inside Camp Crame, Quezon City.

On February 13, 2024 at about 3:00 PM, operatives of Counterintelligence Division-IMEG (Lead Unit) facilitated the surrender of 3 active PNP personnel identified as PCPT GUILBERT S ASUNCION, PCPT ORLANDO A ROSALES, JR and PMSg Dante T Baloran all are presently assigned at Philippine National Police, Special Action Force (PNP-SAF).

The said Warrant of Arrest were issued by Hon. Clarisa M Dao, Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, Branch 174, San Mateo, Rizal with Criminal Case Numbers 32020-23-SMR and 32021-23-SMR for two counts of Murder under Art. 248 of the Revised Penal Code with no bail recommended.

As a backgrounder, the WOA emanated from the armed encounter between the personnel of Rapid Deployment Batallion, SAF (accused former unit) and the alleged members of New People’s Army (NPA) in Sitio Lagyo, Brgy. Puray, Rodriguez, Rizal, sometime in 2010 resulting in the death of two alleged members of the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG).

According to the surrenders they opt to present themselves to IMEG because they have trust and confidence that the Group will implement the law with outmost integrity.

The aforesaid accused are currently detained at IMEG Custodial Facility, Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City for documentation prior to the return of warrant to the issuing court.

“Ang boluntaryong pag-suko ng 7 akusadong pulis sa PNP-IMEG ay patunay ng kanilang buong tiwala sa aming hanay. Dahil dito ay patuloy naming pag-iibayuhin ang pagpapatupad ng batas ng walang kinikilingan o pinapanigan.” PBGEN DE LEON also stated.###
