According to the report of PBGEN WARREN F DE LEON, Director, IMEG, at about 12:00 PM of February 16, 2024, a robbery incident transpired at the victim’s residence at Gabona Street, Bagay, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.

Acting on the above report, joint elements of Team 2, Luzon Field Unit- IMEG, (Lead Unit) and Tuguegarao City Police Station proceeded to Gabona Street, Bagay, Tuguegarao City to conduct an in-depth investigation wherein upon review of the nearby CCTV, the probers found out that the suspect was the brother-in-law of the victim.

Accordingly, the suspects gained entry by breaking the door of the victim’s house and thereby carted away the following: One Unit Yamaha RS motorcycle with sidecar, bearing plate number HU 4813, One Unit Yamaha Mio Soul motorcycle with plate number BA 94975, One Videoke set, and One Unit Electric Carwash machine.

The suspects identified as PMSg Clifford James N Cayaba, active PNP member, presently assigned at Tourist Police Unit, Cagayan Police Provincial Office, John Michael Q. Mallillin, seafarer and Christian N. Mallillin, welder, all residents of Maribbay Street, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan were arrested through follow-up operation at Maribbay Street, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan. The stolen items were also recovered in the possession of the suspects.

The arrested suspects were brought to Tuguegarao City Police Station for documentation and filing of criminal case before the Tuguegarao City Prosecutor’s Office.

“Tinatawagan ng pansin ng aming hanay ang iba pang nabiktima ng mga suspek na huwag matakot magsumbong sa aming himpilan, dahil ang mga ganitong gawain ay hindi palalagpasin ng PNP-IMEG lalo na at patuloy nila na sinisira ang imahe ng Pambansang Pulisya na pilit nating iniingatan” PBGEN DE LEON also stated.###
