POLOMOLOK, SOUTH COTABATO — The Philippine National Police Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (PNP-IMEG) has arrested two police personnel assigned at Polomolok Municipal Police Station (MPS) for their alleged involvement in extortion and irregularities in the processing of National Police Clearances.

The entrapment operation conducted by Team 12, Mindanao Field Unit (MFU) under the direct supervision of Chief, IMEG MFU, took place at around 2:32 PM on October 23, 2025, in Polomolok, South Cotabato.

Arrested during the operation were both designated as processors of the National Police Clearance System (NPCS) at Polomolok MPS, PPO, PRO 12.

Furthermore, during the arrest, the following were the recovered pieces of evidence:
a. One (1) copy of issued National Police Clearance;
b. One (1) Five Hundred Peso Bill with “WJC” markings with serial no. AQ434661;
c. One (1) PNP Issued ID Card;
d. One (1) Glock 17 Gen 4 with Serial No. PNP 72998;
e. Thirteen (13) 9mm Live Ammunition;
f. One (1) Glock 17 magazine;
g. PhP2,920.00 money bill from consummated illegal acts during the transacted National Police Clearance (25pcs on One Hundred Peso bill, 3pcs fifty-peso bill, 1 pc of two-hundred-peso bill, 7pcs of ten-peso bill); and
h. Two (2) Acer Desktop with monitor personal computer with version X421185 series issued from DIDM.

Further, one of the suspect was released on bail on October 28, 2025 after posting a total bail bond in the amount of PhP105,000.00 as reflected in Polomolok MPS blotter entry number 2025-10-2493 dated October 28, 2025. While the other was released on bail on October 29, 2025 after posting bail bond in the total amount of PhP105,000.00 as reflected in Polomolok MPS blotter entry number 2025-10-2499.

In a statement, PBGEN BONARD D BRITON, Director of PNP IMEG, commended the Operating Team for their swift action and reaffirmed IMEG’s relentless campaign to eliminate corruption and abuse of authority within the ranks of the Philippine National Police.

“This operation demonstrates IMEG’s commitment to enforce Internal Discipline and restore the public’s trust in the police service. We will not hesitate to arrest any member of the organization who takes advantage of their position to exploit our citizens. Public service must always be anchored on integrity,” said PBGEN BRITON. ###
